ID that dress: 2008 Teen Choice Awards

I'm a bit behind as the Teen Choice Awards were held last week, however, it gave me some time to hunt down some of the dresses that haven't had an id as yet:



Rachel Bilson sans Hayden, looking uber sweet in an asymmetrical Brian Reyes dress from the designer's pre-fall collection. Bilson topped of her gorgeous dress with a pair of Khaki Lanvin Gladiator heels.



I was a bit disappointed to see Meester wearing Lanvin as most celebrities are opting for dresses from the label these days. However the overall effect was very un-lanvin. Meester's bright green dress is from Lanvin's Spring 2008 Collection, she left her hair down in loose curls which was a wise choice as she looks fantastic . The Gossip Girl actress finished her look off with a pair of Jimmy Choo Isis platform slingbacks which you can purchase here.



Blake Lively joined her co-star at the event going short and sexy in a royal purple Tadashi mini dress from the designers Fall 2008 collection. A very simple yet sexy look which works well for Lively as she is beautiful. Blake accessorised with a thick black belt and a pair of classic Christian Louboutin pumps.



Scarlett Johansson's peachy frock is designed by Matthew Williamson. The Vicky Christina Barcelona actress accessorised with a gold necklace and peep toes. This dress would have been enough without the necklace, which i personally did not like. Johansson's dress is available for purchase in gray here.



The host of the even, Miley Cyrus, thankfully dressed her age. Cyrus opted for a sequined mini dress from Moschino Cheap&Chic. The look was laid back with Cyrus accessorising lightly with jewelery and flat boots.



Kristen Bell goes ultra bright in a Jenni Kayne ensemble from the designers Resort collection. I love the neon pink skirt with the nude tank it makes a beautiful contrast. Bell accessorised with nude peep toes, black clutch and beaded necklace.



Sophia Bush also opted for a design from Jenni Kayne's Resort collection, however, the look is completely different to that of Kristen's. I'm actually still undecided on whether or not i like it. Yay or nay anyone?



Uprising star, Jessica Stroup of 90210 was one of my favourites of the event. The simplicity of her D & G bubbled mini dress looked amazing with the gold heels. The bright orange is the wow factor of this outfit. You can purchase Stroup's D&G mini dress here.



Unfortunately, Fergie was a huge disappointment for me. The Etro maxi dress seems so un-fergie as the singer usually opts for sexy and short dresses.



Another Gossip Girl actress, Jessica Szohr also opted for a bright dress. Szohr looks absolutely amazing in this bright coral Alice + Olivia halter dress. I can't get over how well the colour suits her. You can purchase her dress here.



Miley Cyrus replacement, Selma Gomez looked a bit disheveled on the red carpet in her bright blue Mint by Jodi Arnold strapless dress. You'll be glad to know that the young star usually irons her dresses for events like these as the dress is intentionally wrinkled.

Dorothy's Ruby Slippers get a make over

One of my favorite movies of all time, The Wizard of Oz will be soon celebrated for its 70th anniversary in 2009. In honor of such a wonderful film, Warner Bros Consumer Products and Crystallized Swarovski Elements have asked some of the top accessory and ready-to-wear designers to design their contemporary vision of the iconic ruby slippers.

According to Fashion Week Daily, designers such as Alberta Ferretti, Betsey Johnson, Gwen Stefani, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta, Roger Vivier and Sergio Rossi will all be creating designs for the collection.

Unfortunately these shoes will not be for sale as they will be auctioned off for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's Kids. Let's hope there are alot of bids!

Things seem to be going extremely well for The Hills star Lauren Conrad. With her reality show going through with another season and her recent clothing line being a success, Miss Conrad has been asked to design an Emmy Awards dress for the trophy girls who hand out U.S. television’s top honors!

Conrad celebrated the success of her Lauren Conrad Collection label by hosting a party at Christian Audigier, The Nightclub inside Treasure Island Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday. Conrad wears a BCBG Max Azria strapless bubble dress...I'm not actually sure what the black lace is as it does not come with dress.

The Dark Horse: Emma Stone

After making her debut in the hilarious comedy Superbad Miss Stone will be soon appearing in The House Bunny, The Rocker and The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. All movies seem extremely promising especially The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past which also stars Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Michael Douglas.

Stone does indeed look like a young Lindsay Lohan, however, i am hoping for the best as she has such a fabulous sense of style. What i like about her choices in clothing is that she doesn't try to hard, which most starlets are doing these days.

I didn't think much of it as i personally wouldn't roll up my jeans and i didn't think many other celebrities would catch on to this trend, however, i was wrong. The two actresses shared a laugh as they celebrated Peet's cover on Gotham's latest magazine issue at The Plaza Hotel on Tuesday. This is a nice change for Conrad, who usually opts for singlets and full skirts or a piece from Elizabeth & James. I love this refreshing summer look, the white headband adds a nice preppy touch. Miss Richie was spotted last month on her way to her usual Traffic School class. Make sure to check out Richie as she stars as a guest actress on an episode of the NBC sitcom Chuck, where we get to see her in a fight scene with Yvonne Strahovski.

This dress is adorable, i actually think with a pair of killer heels it has potential as a red carpet dress, the jeweled detail is stunning. Straight off the Runway :The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 Premiere

It has been 2 years since these four lovely actresses have appeared on the screen together.
With the success of the first film, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn have reunited for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. All four ladies attended the world premiere of the film at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City last month, and of course all were looking amazing in designer pieces.

The Elegy actress has been quite busy this month with the anticipation of her latest film to release soon, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which also stars Scarlett Johansson. This Herve Leger dress reminds me a bit of a Versace design. It looks fantastic on Cruz, the colour and the simplicity is executed perfectly.

What was she wearing: Mischa Barton

Mischa Barton was spotted leaving a nightclub in Berlin last month looking ultra cool in a star printed mini dress. When i first saw Mischa in this amazing dress, i assume straight away that it was designer when in truth it was actually a design from Topshop. This is the best i've seen her this year, and she's had some nice choices, especially her Matthew Williamson floor length gown which i was gaga over. Mischa accessorised her Topshop dress with a pair of comfy Marc Jacobs metal studded flats. Both items are currently on sale now!

Piaget Hosts The Limelight Paris-New York Collection

The Incredible Hulk actress, as usual, looks stunning. Newly single mum, Liv Tyler donned an oriental styled Oscar de la Rental cocktail dress. All i can say is stunning! It's a refreshing look compared to the usually dresses on celebrities these days.

Leighton Meester takes some time of set to enjoy the bejeweled event in a gorgeous white Nina Ricci strapless dress which she accessorised with Van Cleef & Arpels jewels and a Louis Vuitton clutch. The nude make up and pulled back hair shows off the beautiful sweetheart neckline so beautifully.

Emmy Rossum looks a bit bland for me. It would be nice if she made some more interesting choices in her dresses. Here Rossum wears a metallic dress by Ports 1961.

Liv Tyler shares a smile with Mena Suvari, who donned an interesting royal purple halter dress from Ingwa Melero's Fall 2008 collection. Suvari accessoried with a black clutch and peep toes.

The lovely Becki Newton shows that you can seriously look gorgeous on a buget. The Ugly Betty actress donned a black Juicy Couture halter dress, she finished off her sleek look with smokey eyes a messy bedhair, which looks amazing.

After the success of The Dark Night, Maggie Gyllenhaal will be soon appearing in Farlanders, opposite John Krasinksi. Gyllenhaal looks classic in a LBD which she finished off with a touch of her own with a pair of flat sandals.

Straight off the runway: Leona Lewis

The beautiful Leona Lewis looked colorful and cheery as she performed at the 46664 Concert as a part of Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday celebrations last Friday at Hyde Park in London. Lewis donned a playful Roberto Cavalli frock which was worn with her YSL star sandals. I love Lewis's version much better than the runway and she wears it so well!

Selma Blair catches onto the jumpsuit frenzy as she attends the world premiere of Universal Pictures’ Hellboy II: The Golden Army at the Los Angeles Film Festival at the Village Theater on Saturday in Los Angeles. Blair went all black in a Marchesa jumpsuit with a plunging neckline which she accessorised with her beautiful Chanel clutch. Unfortunately, the jumpsuit makes her look short, so for me it only looks good from the waist and up. Her hair however looks amazing.

Straight off the runway: Jennifer Morrison

House actress Jennifer Morrison attended premiere of the Journey to The Center Of The Earth at the Mann Village Theater on June 29, 2008 in Westwood, California. To be honest, i hadn't heard of the film up until now, but it is a film of adventure based on the classic Jules Verne novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth” and stars the lovely Brendan Fraser as the central character. Morrison gorgeous as usual in tan embellished Oscar de la Renta frock from the Fall 2008 collection. I wish she had worn those shoes that were on the runway, they are so gorgeous!

The lovely Meryl Streep attended the world premiere of her latest film Mamma Mia! which was held at the Odeon Leicester Square on Monday in London, England. I must admit that i am definately looking forward to this flick, summer romance is a weakness of mine and so is Mr. Darcy a.k.a Colin Firth! Streep donned a red hot Donna Karan dress from the designer's 2008 Resort collection. While the colour looks amazing on Streep, the fit of it isn't very well, however the belt is a nice touch.

Christian Dior supporters took their Sunday off to attend the Dior Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2008/2009 Collection which was held as part of Paris Haute Couture fashion week at the Rodin Museum in Paris, France, on Sunday.

Wow. Eva Mendes looks stunning in this orange and pink Christian Dior dress from he Fall 2008 collection. The colors look amazing on her skin and the dress fits her so much better than it does on the runway model.

Liv Tyler kept in simple in a elegant black dress which is a modification from Dior's 2008 Pre-Fall Collection. Tyler she accessorised with a black clutch and Givenchy boots. It would have been more interesting if she added some color to her outfit through her clutch and shoes.

I'm sorry Claudia Schiffer, you beautiful but the dress is making me yawn. I would have loved to the original version on her, it would have look much better.
